Questions about our cleaning:
What is included in your cleaning service? Our "The Works" Clean and Initial Deep Clean check lists are located under “Services” tab.
What is the main difference between Clearly Clean and the large national franchise cleaning services? Since we are not a national franchise, we are able to offer you all of the benefits they offer and generally at a lower price, as we do not pay the 7%-12% royalty/marketing/advertising fees that they pay to their corporate offices which adds $30-$50 to EACH cleaning. Over the course of a year, that can add up to hundreds and hundreds of dollars.
What time will you be at my home? If you would like us to be at your home at a specific time, we recommend that you sign up for service at the beginning of the day. As we clean homes during the day, we often encounter things that delay our arrival at our next home, like traffic, weather, or a customer who would like some additional help. For midday service, we give you a window of time for our arrival.
Do you wash windows? We clean the window above the kitchen sink if it is accessible and the inside and outside of the sliding glass doors only (above 40 degrees).
How many people will be in my home during each cleaning? Typically, there will be two to three team members in your home. We may have four team members on the initial cleaning day. We will work with you so you know how many people will be in your home. We respect that your home is private, and the trust you place in us by inviting us into your home.
What does "green house cleaning" mean? Green house cleaning involves the products, methods and business practices employed by companies to promote both a cleaner, healthier home and environment. Green cleaning products do not contain ingredients with ozone depleting substances or flammable chemicals that may irritate skin. Clearly Clean uses highly-concentrated cleaners that require less product, as well as employ green cleaning processes.
How do you disinfect my home with green cleaning products? Clearly Clean uses a peroxide cleaner that is Green Seal™ certified under the GS-37 Green Seal Standard. It is an environmentally preferable product that is designed to perform extremely well in areas that need disinfecting and is safer on our environment and the person using the product. It has a pleasant citrus scent.
Explain your HEPA filtration vacuums – Clearly Clean uses high performance vacuums from Oreck and Pro Team®. Every vacuum collects at least 99.9% of indoor pollutants one micron or larger. Additionally, with a brush head that revolves at over 6,000 times per minute, there is no better vacuum with which to clean your home.
Do you provide all cleaning products? Clearly Clean provides everything needed to clean your home including top-tier certified cleaning products, HEPA filtration vacuums and the best microfiber cloths, floor pads and dusters available. Our MSDS sheets are located under the Healthy Clean tab.
Do you use ladders or move furniture? We do not use any step ladder above three steps or move or lift anything heavier than 25 lbs. These types of activities put our employees in danger of potential injury If you would like us to clean behind appliances like a refrigerator, oven or sofa, please move it prior to the cleaning to allow access to the desired area. We are able to move most coffee tables, ottomans or other small furniture. However moving items such as couches, love seats, dressers or beds is a liability and we will not be able to accommodate those kinds of requests. If you want your baseboards dusted behind heavier furniture, please have your furniture moved away from the wall, no less than 6 inches. If you want your baseboards wet wiped behind heavier furniture, please have your furniture moved out a full 18 inches.
What cities do you service? We currently service the South East Denver Metro area including Aurora, Centennial, Englewood, Lone Tree and Parker.
What if I would like something cleaned that is not part of your regular service? Clearly Clean offers a variety of additional home services including window washing, carpets, refrigerator cleaning, etc. See our “Special Services tab.”
How do I provide feedback on my cleaning? Its important to us to know how we did. Please contact us with your questions, concerns, and suggestions so we can continue to provide you with “Raving Fan” service. We are always available to assist you with your cleaning service questions by phone or by email. If you call after hours, please leave a message and we will get back to you during normal business hours.
What if I am not satisfied with my cleaning? Clearly Clean offers our “Raving Fan” guarantee. If you are not satisfied at any time, for any reason, or if something was missed or not cleaned to your expectations, please notify us within 24 hours of the cleaning and we will send the team back to your house at our expense to correct the problem. We don;t want you just to be satisfied... we want you to be a "raving fan".
What about pets? Do I have to lock them up?
Most of our clients have pets and our employees love them and are happy to have them around, as long as the pets feel the same way! We'd like the opportunity to be introduced to them by you on the first visit, if possible. We'll have all the information about the pets and their needs on our checklist for future visits.
What won’t you do or clean? We don't change diaper genies, clean up dog messes, change dust ruffles, do dishes or laundery, garages, interiors of non self clean ovens, interiors of toaster ovens, cat boxes, interiors of curio cabinets, hutches, or display cases, empty shredders or wash walls.
Questions about our scheduling
Do I need to be home the day of the cleaning? Our clients usually give us a key or garage door security code, or hide-a-key, so it is not important for you to be home, but you are more than welcome to be there. We make arrangements with each client to ensure our employees have the appropriate access to your home.
How is my key secured? We take this responsibility for seriously and each key is assigned a code (no other information is on the key), and protected in a locked and secure key safe. The information related to the key code is kept in a secure and encrypted file (no one but the owners have access) and no key is ever released without a presented picture ID. We never mail keys.
Can I cancel or reschedule an appointment? If for any reason, you find it necessary to postpone/cancel/skip any scheduled cleaning service, please call us with as much notice as possible so we can reschedule you. We would prefer at least 24 hours notice.
What if I forget the team is coming to clean my house? We will call two days before each cleaning as a reminder of the day and time we are coming.
What if my cleaning falls on a holiday? If your schedule cleaning falls on a holiday that we observe, we will contact you to make alternative arrangements for that week. Don;t worry, we'll take care of you.
What days do you work? Our normal work week is Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. We may work Saturdays during shortened holiday weeks.
Questions about pricing:
How much does it cost? It is very difficult to give you a price without seeing your home. We base our pricing on many factors, including the number of rooms, size of rooms, pets, clutter, surfaces of countertops and floors and even the lifestyle of the homeowner (i.e., someone who is home a lot has very different cleaning needs than someone who travels a lot). Because every home is unique, we base our pricing on factors like clutter, pets and even your lifestyle, which affect the way we clean, so impact the price. That's why we like to meet you at your home for a free, no obligation estimate, before giving you a price.
Can I afford it? It's all about your priorities. Life is short! Don't spend it cleaning. Busy parents are often running to and from daycare or school and extra-curricular activities during the week, leaving their weekends for cleaning duty. This takes up the few precious hours of family time with work or chores, not activities with the people who matter most in our lives.If you think about it, your time is very valuable, especially in homes with both parents working. We will save you 3-6 hours weekly which you can put to better use with your family and friends. Think about all that money you are spending on other conveniences, like pre-packaged meals, fast food, babysitters and dry cleaning to try to save time.
Wouldn't it be cheaper to use a private individual or smaller service? As the old adage goes, be careful what you wish for and you get what you pay for.
A cleaner who is not affiliated with a service or national company can be cheaper, but may not be licensed, insured or bonded. If something is broken or stolen, the homeowner is left with the bill, not the uninsured service or individual. With an insured service, any broken or stolen items are replaced at the service's cost, with no charge to the homeowner. You need to ask to See their Certificates of Insurance. How and when do I pay for my cleaning service? Payment must be made at the time of cleaning. Clearly Clean accepts the following forms of payment: MasterCard/Visa, cash or check (all initial cleanings and one-time cleanings must be via credit card in advance). Regular cleaning service is always charged immediately following the completion of service, unless alternative terms have been agreed. All clients are required to provide a credit card number (held in a secured file), to use in the event you forget to leave payment on your scheduled cleaning day. Clearly Clean will charge the amount of the cleaning to that card.
We do accept checks as payment for your cleaning services (after the initial cleaning), and any bank fees charged to Clearly Clean for a returned check for insufficient funds will incur a $25 fee plus any financial institution charges. If you use a credit card, your account will be charged the balance due, plus any fees, after each cleaning.
Questions about our team members
How are your cleaning professionals trained? Cleaning green and healthy is embedded in our culture and who we are…. Cleaning green and healthy is more than just using green certified products. It’s all about employing an integrated process and how well the cleaning teams are trained on that process. Each cleaning team member at Clearly Clean receives extensive training on our cleaning regimen, our Green Seal certified products as well as our four-level HEPA filtration vacuums from Pro team. They are trained on green and healthy basics, how green cleaning actually works, MSDS sheets, practices and use of microfiber cloths, and controlling asthma and allergy through healthy cleaning practices.
Will I have the same team each cleaning? We make every effort to send the same team each cleaning but its not always possible. We know how important it is to have someone you know and trust cleaning your home. However, from time to time we may have to make substitutions due to vacations or illness.
Are your employees authorized to work in the U.S.? We comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) and follows procedures to verify that employees are authorized to work in the U.S. We use E-verify. All employees are required to fill out Form I-9, the employment eligibility verification form, and provide necessary employment eligibility documentation before starting work.
Questions about our Protection and Safety - Questions About Liability
Are you bonded and insured? Clearly Clean carries a bond on all its team members to protect you from theft and we carry full liability and product insurance from a top-rated firm to cover damage to your home or property if it is caused by a Healthy Clean employee. Our certificates of insurance are located on this site under the “Your Protections” tab. We carry $2 MILLION in aggregate general liability insurance and Workers Compensation for all of our employees through Pinnacol Assurance. We are licensed with the State of Colorado in Good Standing, as well as the city of Aurora and pay all Local, State and Federal Taxes. We complete background checks on all of our employees as well as determine eligibility to work in the United States through E-Verify. Please note that a police report must be filed for any theft related issues.
What if something in my home gets broken? Our staff is trained to take the utmost care while servicing your home. However, accidents occasionally do happen. If something in your house is broken by one of our employees, we will make every effort to repair or replace the item. Insurance claims will be filed when appropriate. Please notify us within 24 hours of the cleaning date should an accident occur.
What happens if a Clearly Clean maid gets hurt in my home? Our employees are all covered by workman's compensation insurance through Pinnacol assurance.
What is the risk of hiring a company without the proper insurances, experience and training? There are many potential risks not generally known by the public. There's a tremendous difference in hiring a professional house cleaning company with insured, trained and experienced employees. A professional cleaning service offers the assurance that you are opening your home to a reliable company that is responsible for any liability or risk. An individual who is hired under the table is a serious risk if they are hurt or disabled on your property. Since they are not covered by insurance, there is a possibility that they may sue you for lost wages, damages, or for medical costs. Technically, hiring an individual makes you an employer, which means you can be held liable for injury claims, worker's compensation insurance, and unemployment insurance. It's important to review your home liability insurance to make sure it covers service people in case of injury, and notify your insurer of the relationship. If you hire an individual and they do not pay employment taxes, you as the legal employer can be held liable for the taxes due to the IRS. Hiring a company that pays all employment taxes and carries labor and industries insurance coverage protects you. All Healthy Clean employee’s are trusted, background checked, pre-screened, and insured for your protection.
